The closest tour cave to Canberra, Carey's Cave is situated in the spectacular folded limestone formations of the Wee Jasper Valley.
Visitors of all ages can enjoy the tour of Carey's Cave as the cave entrance is situated close to the car park and the floors are mostly flat with a minimum of steps. Two tours are offered, each taking in different areas of the seven main chambers, but tours can be tailored to special interests, needs or numbers.
One of the wonderful features in the cave is the special atmosphere created by the natural sculpting and colour of the rock. There is a feeling of immediacy within the chambers as you are close to the many calcite crystal formations - at the same time it is a comfortable space.
There are also opportunities for hands-on activities during the tour, kids love it and parents can relax and enjoy.
