Capital Wines is a boutique winery located in Murrumbateman within the Canberra Wine Region. Their renowned Kyeema Vineyard and winery are located on an elevated granite hill with breathtaking views looking over the rolling hills of the Murrumbidgee valley to the Brindabellas.
The Canberra Wine district has a cool climate and the long ripening season produces exceptional fruit with intense flavours.
Capital Wines have a pedigree of 45 trophies and over 260 show awards since 1994, making their winery one of the Canberra region's most awarded. They also make wine for several other small wineries, within Canberra and the surrounding regions of Hilltops, Gundagai and the south coast.
The Canberra District is an exciting emerging region. Canberra wines are gaining increasing attention from national wine media, due to their beautiful fruit and elegant strcuture. Wines from this winery tell the story of their journey to create excellence.
The Capital Wines cellar door is located at Grazing Restaurant, 42 Cork Street Gundaroo.
It is open Saturday and Sunday, 10am - 5pm.
