Jeir Creek Wines is one of the leading Canberra District, cool climate wineries. A visit to the Jeir Creek Winery offers you a complete winery experience. You can see the winery in action, learn how wines are made and see parts of the winemaking process, talk to the winemaker taste the wines.
Jeir Creek Wines is located an easy 30 minutes drive from the centre of Canberra, along the Barton Highway towards Yass.
The Howell family commenced the development of the Jeir Creek Wines vineyard in 1984 and continued to expand the vineyard until 1998. The winery was opened in 1988.
Jeir Creek wines are sourced from our own grapes. In the vineyard we have:
* Sauvignon Blanc
* Riesling
* Chardonnay
* Viognier
* Pinot Noir
* Merlot
* Cabernet Sauvignon
* Shiraz
* Muscat
Jeir Creek Wines also hosts Canberra Winemakers Pty Ltd which makes wines for other wineries in the Canberra region and beyond. During harvest time there is an almost endlesss stream of grape deliveries.
The winery is fitted with state of the art processing equipment, and is one of the most technical wineries in the region.
