Would you like to try a fun new challenge that will get you fit for summer, tone your body, allow variety in your training and help you avoid injury through cross-training? If so, take on a triathlon, as Melbourne's triathlon season kicks off on Sunday, 6 November at Race 1 of the XOSIZE Tri Series 2011-12!
The XOSIZE Tri Series is one of Victoria's premier triathlon series and a great opportunity for beginners to participate in a highly professional triathlon in a friendly, non-intimidating environment. With the option of a Mini, Sprint or Kids distance and with five events held across the Summer, this really is an event for everyone!
To prepare for your triathlon challenge, join the training clinics, taken by Triathlon Response Group each Saturday prior to the event at the race site. These clinics will see you improve your skills, smooth your transitions, and increase your confidence pre-race.
Note: All series entrants will receive a XOSIZE Tri Series hoodie! Series entrants will also go in the draw to win the complete triathlon package valued at over $3,000.
This year, participants are encouraged to set themselves a double challenge; enter the event and raise money for a charity close to your heart. Working with Everyday Hero, the XOSIZE Tri Series is aiming to raise as much money as possible for charities both here and overseas.
