Hello Ivan,

I have not tasted the Penfolds bin 80A for some years, however I can assure you that it is a superior wine to the 1980 Grange. A book is available through Southcorp in Artarmon, Sydney, titled 'The Rewards of Patience' written by Andrew Caillard MW. This book lists all the Penfolds wines and their drinkability! For current wine values try the Langtons Wine Auctions web site.

Cheers
Chris

90A is outstanding, and probably better than the 90 Grange but that is a personal preference thing. I believe the 90A to be a better wine. You might be interested in looking at: http://www.auswine.com.au/forum/viewtopic.php?t=1317 or http://www.auswine.com.au/forum/viewtopic.php?t=1465.

You should be able to pick up the 90A for less than $250. You should be able to pick up the 1990 Grange for less than $450. See: http://www.langtons.com.au/tools/tool_price.asp

Hi all wine lovers, i just saw some special penfold bin 80a and 90a?? have anyone tasted them?? coz the sales in the cellar told me they are even better than grange....but their price are cheaper like $300-400. i also wanna buy some 90's grange coz i heard it is very good and rare. That cellar sells 90's for $575, is it higher than the market price?? (although i am not buying them for investment, i believe no one wanna buy thing higher than it's normal market price^^) appreciate if anyone can answer my question, thx^^
