Matt,

The concept of Cellarit.com is good but there are a couple of drawbacks.

The wines are supplied direct ex-winery. That means that if you want two cases from two differnt wineries its two transactions, but what is worse is that you cant get say a six pack from Winery A and a six pack from Winery B.

Obviously you also cant mix and match.

From my perspective I find winestar.com.au very good, and I was buying from Bert way before I started to write for the journal. Another good retailer is auswine.com.au and Gavin is now getting better weekly specials too.

Cheers
Ric

Agree, some prices can be out of the market, but others can be a bargain.

Winestar is a good site, a nd Bert does a good weekly journal email.

Cellarit.com (never purchased anything) looks reasonable also - case lots directly from CD.

I think the point is - all of the sites have there pros and cons - prices vary and its up to the customer to be aware.

cheers

Matt,
I have found their prices to be rather high.
Have also tried TheOnline Cellar.com which was good except for a few of the same problems - the site is way behind. However, they did go out of their way to source the wine I wanted.

Winestar winestar.com.au) is also very good. They have regular updates and specials and some are very attractively priced.

No problem - Cloudwine will deliver all over Australia (for NSW allow 1 to 2 days delivery) and overseas (postage payable for o/s deliveries).

note I have no interest in the site other than being a satified customer.

Cloudwine sounds really good. But is there a similar site for NSW people?

Try "cloudwine.com.au"
- next day delivery if in Victoria
- do not have to buy by the case
- fair prices
- no postage and packaging costs
- excellent service, ran by wine appreciators
- good range of wines from the smaller makers - no big corporate brands.

cheers

Ric,
I had the same experience.
The only wine I tried to order they didn't have.

Not great! Frequently "out of stock" and frequently the vintage requested s "unavailable."

I had purchased from them in the past, but they turned out to be more trouble than they were worth.

Cheers
Ric

One of the more prominent regular advertisers on the Winerobot site appears to be Winebox.

I'm wondering whether any contibutors to/surfers of this forum have bought wine from Winebox.

If you have, I'd appreciate hearing of your experiences when purchasing from Winebox.
