Here is some information for you:
Knappstein Wines was a small Claire Valley based producer of handmade wines from various estate grown grapes with it's hayday back in the 70's. Tim Knappstein???s winery was acquired by the Lion Nathan group in the late ???90s Knappstein's original website used to be found at this link, but it look's like it is just a flag page now for the new owning entity. You could also possibly contact the Lion Nathan Group (2 Pioneer Avenue, Clare 5453) or via the Lion Nathan website and perhaps they can give you more historical information about the port itself. have been given a boxed decanter of this port - can't find any references about it. Is it any good?
