I was just wondering if anyone had tried the 1998 Tarrawarra Yarra Valley Pinot Noir?
Any comments would be appreciated.

Jonathan,
I've tasted this wine twice now, once in October shortly after release and more recently at the Sydney Top 100 Tasting where it won the Lighter Bodied Dry Red Trophy. Both times I thought it was outstanding albeit a little pricey. Lovely cherry raspberry nose and taste, lots of sweet fruit, quite big and long. Good food wine with about 2-3 yrs to peak.
Cheers,
MartinE.

I tasted the 98 in Jan this year. Having bought (and sold) the 97 which was excellent, I was interested to see the differences. The 98 had a characterful farmy/horsey Burgundian nose with a rich palate. I wouldnt describe it as light bodied though. In the UK its about #17 - quite expensive, but poss worth it as these PNs do age well.
