Very appalling service! We were unable to have anything on their lunch menu even though we (a party of 6) had booked 2 weeks in advance. Anything we asked for from their menu was unavailable, although I was even sent an email of their menu that day.

When we asked as to why this was we were subjected to foul and abusive langauage by the chef, who also happens to be the owner of this winery. Imagine the owner abusing customers. We tried to reason with her but she continued to hurl insults. (One of our party recorded this on her mobile phone).

Also there was the concern of hygiene in safe food preparation. No hat or hair net, not even an apron was worn by the chef. Her appearance looked shabby. We left without getting a full refund even though we did not eat or drink anything there.

For a place that claims to provide good customer service and great home made meals this is a joke. Also if you're Scottish DON'T go there. You're most likely to be insulted - my friend was called a ****ing Scottish ***ch repeatedly.

I would not recommend this place to anyone. Their website as to what they claim to be is false advertising. This was a very disappointing experience as we were really looking forward to a nice outing.

I find this review pretty unbelievable considering I have been to Fairbrossen Estate numerous times and have received nothing but lovely warm service, to match the stunning views, award winning wines and delicious home-cooked meals.
For anyone reading this review I would urge you to visit the tearooms for yourself, rather than listen to nasty reviews from people who might just have a bit too much time on their hands!

I give Fairbroseen 5 stars!
