Hi all,

I have a "friend" who has just bought
a house (that is too small) so is
knocking half of it down to build
an extension (that will be bigger
than the total inital house). Anyway
- he is digging a hole under this
"extension" and wants a cellar.
Has a few dollars (I hate the term
"money is no object" but he wants it done
right) and wouldn't be happy with a cellar
that looks like mine (steel mesh). Can dig
the hole to any shape or height (i.e. doesn't
need racking to fit a space) - has 500 -
600 dozen {a guess} and needs space for a
little bit more. He would like to speak
to people who can give him good advice
and design help and build the racking
(I think he wants something that is
attractive as well as functional - polished
timber etc). I know it's a long shot but
does anyone have a contact who could help
me with this?

email me at:
vince@indgroup.com.au

Thanks
Vince
ps Len or James know anyone?

There are usually a few ads in the back of most wine magazines, so have a look at a couple and find someone close to you.
Or just ask at a wine store which has decent looking racking "Who did this for you?" Most will be helpful, even if they tell you to aviod a particular company!

With racking construction make certain there are provisions for wines in woodem boxes and provisions for large format bottles. Also nake certain that the 750ml bottle slot fits different 750ml bottle shapes. If possible go foe the diaMIOND SHAPE RACKING THAT HOLDS 12 BOTTLES.
