MEMBERS' OFFER:
Nick Sweet is an internationally recognised wine writer, who also conducts wine tastings, and through his U.K company Vineyard Safaris, accompanied wine region visits. These are normally made to measure, but in 2009 four scheduled visits are to take place.
Trips are proposed to the Languedoc, staying in an auberge in the foothills of the Cevennes mountains, some 15 kilometres from Montpellier, and near to the appellation of Pic St Loup.
Also a trip to visit the Dentelles de Montmirail, and the communes of Gigondas, Rasteau and possible Châteauneuf-du-Pape. These will take place in April/May 2009, precise dates are to be decided.
A further trip to St Rémy de Provence is proposed for early June.
More details will be posted on Nick's web site. The price for a 2 day trip to near Montpellier is €560 per person on the base of four people sharing two rooms, and €425 on the basis of six people sharing 3 rooms.
For a three day trip, €650 for 4 people and € 560 for 6.
A two-day visit will include visits to at least two vineyards, two nights' bed and breakfast, two dinners with wine, a picnic lunch and an introductory tasting to the area. Nick will personally drive you in a people carrier, and will collect you from the airport or train station within a forty kilometre distance from the hotel.
As a special offer tVineyards.com Members, a confirmed booking made before 31st January 2009 will qualify for 10% discount on the total price. Please quote your VisitVineyards.com Membership number when booking.
