Tutti a Tavola - Everybody to the Table!

Tutti a Tavola - Everybody to the Table!  You could be at the table of the Tuscan Mammas in the heart of Chianti, Italy, experiencing first hand the true flavour of life in Tuscany.

VisitVineyards.com is offering one lucky subscriber the chance to win a place in a very special four day culinary program in Italy. If the thought of travelling the world and enjoying regional wine and food along the way is even vaguely on your mind, then this prize could well be the highlight of your next trip away and an unforgettable experience.

The Tuscan Mammas will welcome you warmly and invite you to share their kitchens and homes. The kitchen in Tuscany is called "casa", the centre of the house and family, where the fireplace was always lit and everybody would share not only meals but social life. They invite you to cook with them, not only Tuscan food but the sum of years of traditional family cooking.

Classes can be adapted to your level of expertise and fit with your individual wishes whenever possible. Wine and olive oil tastings together with a guided visit to a lively market and dinner at Le Vigne, a charming "chiantigiano" restaurant, will complete your culinary adventure. One of the Mammas (at least) will join the group at Le Vigne to introduce participants to their typical Tuscan food. Everybody will have a chance to ask questions and get another "insider" view of life in Tuscany.

Situated in the Chianti Classico wine region between Florence, renowned for its art and history, and the beautiful city of Siena with its rose-coloured medieval buildings, this is a great base to explore the rest of Tuscany. From the many small hilltop villages and medieval walled towns like Radda in Chianti and San Gimignano to castles, vineyards, and fabulous local markets, you will discover a different Tuscany, the one known only to the locals.

Participants in the culinary program are welcome to stay in the accommodation offered by the Tuscan Mammas. Off the beaten track, the houses are all different and enjoy a relaxed country atmosphere and unspoilt beautiful hillside views. (Note: Accommodation not included)

The culinary program starts on Monday, late afternoon, with a wine tasting and continues on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday.
One place at the culinary program includes:

  • Monday 6pm - Wine tasting followed by refreshments
  • Tuesday 10am - Olive oil tasting followed by a light lunch
  • Tuesday 7.30pm - Dinner at Le Vigne restaurant in Radda in Chianti
  • Wednesday 4pm - Hands-on cooking session followed by dinner
  • Thursday 9.30am - Guided shopping tour to Montevarchi market
  • Thursday 4pm - Hands-on cooking session followed by dinner
  • Recipe booklet in English
  • Tutti a Tavola apron

Note: The above culinary program may change due to unforeseen circumstances.

Each place is worth 450 euros which is approximately $A700 each (depending on exchange rate).
