Family owned Angullong Wines is nestled on the rolling foothills of Mount Canobolas in the high altitude, cool climate wine region of Orange in NSW. The label was created in 2003 and is the indigenous name for running water as the vineyard is is surrounded by numerous creeks and the wild beauty of the Belubula River.
It's one of the largest vineyards in the area with 220 hectares under vines planted to14 different varieties:
- Barbera
- Cabernet Sauvignon
- Chardonnay
- Marsanne
- Merlot
- Pinot Gris
- Viognier
- Riesling
- Sangiovese
- Sauvignon Blanc
- Semillon
- Shiraz
- Verdelho
During any dry periods, water is sourced from the Belubula River which provides a reliable water supply to ensure premium quality fruit is grown consistently every year.
Grapes are also grown to specification for other wineries outside Orange and the property is home to a very successful farm for Angus cattle, Boer goat and fodder cropping.
As fifth generation farmers operating as a family company, Angullong recognises the importance of sustainable agricultural practices and are committed to ensuring the long term health and improvement of the land they work and the environment in which they live for the benefit of generations to come.
