Do you fancy eleven fun- and sun-filled days in Queensland's glorious Whitsundays? VisitVineyards.com has again teamed up with North Queensland's Roam Media to bring you another fabulous getaway for and your someone special. Bright blue skies, sparkling clear waters and abundant marine life.... tropical holidays don't get much better than this!

We're delighted to be offering another sensational Whitsundays holiday package to showcase this beautiful part of Australia and to support our Queensland friends in the tourism industry.

Cruising and flying, diving and perhaps even taking a plunge of a different sort with a marriage or re-affirmation ceremony – all part of this amazing holiday. It's a recipe for relaxation and rejuvenation, to be savoured over eleven long days.

Imagine yourself here...

Day 1: Welcome to Airlie Beach

Make your way by road or air to the Whitsundays and make sure you've packed the essentials for a tropical holiday – sunscreen (waterproof of course) hat, togs, snorkelling gear and a desire to get up close and personal with the marine life of the warm waters.

Book into your luxury villa unit at the multi award-winning Big 4 Adventure Whitsundays Resort, set amongst 26 acres of landscaped tropical surrounds. Whether you're adventure travellers seeking a little luxury, a couple who love the freedom of caravanning or a family looking for fun, this venue has facilities for all.

Once you're settled in, then make your way to Beachworx Airlie Beach and start gearing up for the tropics with a $250 voucher. It's Airlie's original and best beachwear store and they'll fit you out with the perfect fashion for your days ahead.

Day 2: Three island cruising

To get you into the cruising mood, board the luxurious purpose-built catamaran Voyager with Whitsunday Island Adventures for a thee island cruise. Your biggest decision might be to choose indoors or outdoors? Lying around on the sun lounges soaking up the fresh sea air or cooling off inside in air-conditioned comfort.

The cruise will meander through the majestic scenery of Hook, Whitsunday and Daydream Islands whilst you sit back and take it all in...

Add in a delicious morning tea, full, fresh buffet lunch and a savoury platter for afternoon tea – what more could you wish for?

After a hard day like this, you're sure to sleep well in your villa at Big 4 Adventure Whitsundays Resort!

Day 3: Casting a line

Hope you've been practicing your casting technique because today it's off to the deep blue yonder with fishing rod all set and expert advice on hand. For half a day, Whitsundays Fishing Charters will show you the best spots around the islands which provide fantastic fishing opportunities for many different types of species. It's all about the water and the contest between you and that massive fish on the end of the line...

After a day on the water, settle into A and A Motel in Prosperpine and enjoy some local hospitality and the shopping centre that's just minutes away.

Day 4: Hunting for crocs

No, it's not shoe shopping but a relaxing cruise along the calm waters of the Proserpine River. Also relaxing along the river will be the estuarine crocodiles that are just part of the abundant wildlife in this environment, home to many species of native birds, mammals, reptiles and other marine animals.

You'll also get to sample damper and billy tea on your Whitsunday Crocodile Safari and tuck into a seafood BBQ for lunch – yum!

With the safari over and any wildlife encounters the stuff of stories to tell, the comforts of the A and A Motel await.

Day 5: The art of relaxing

Today is all about art then time to fill in time as you want to. Visit Seabreeze Art Gallery, just out of Prosperpine, and meet artist Tara Lea to commission your very own oil painting. Take along a photo of you favourite Whitsundays scene and Tara will literally turn it into a unique work of art just for you.

Spend the rest of your day taking in the sights and sounds of the area as you wind your way to Cape Gloucester Eco Resort and Village. This environmentally friendly boutique resort offers a beautiful setting with absolute beachfront, lightly timbered foreshore and nearby islands. There's plenty to do (beach walking, bird watching, boating, fishing, kayaks etc) or nothing to do, depending on your mood at the time. Your cabin will be close to the beach and the pool – both important features in these climes we know!

Enjoy dinner at The Oar Bistro, with a panoramic view of the sea from any table and delicious food made with the finest local ingredients from land and sea (sustainably caught and managed of course).

Day 6: Take to the skies

Off, off and away, up into the blue skies and over the Great Barrier Reef and Whitehaven beach for half day trip in a seaplane, courtesy of Air Whitsundays. Discover from above just how many shades of blue and green make up this magnificent reef. Take in the scenic views of Heart Reef which can only be seen by air and make the most of the fantastic photo and video opportunities. You'll even experience the thrill of a touch and go water landing on the Great Barrier Reef!

Relive the views and highlights back at your Cape Gloucester cabin this evening and perhaps prepare to see the reef from a different angle tomorrow.

Day 7: Downunder guided tour

Qualified diver? Then let the expert guides at Whitsundays Dive Adventures take you to the best scuba spots around the islands. Your half day dive charter includes two dives with equipment provided. Could there be a better way to meet the locals like the clownfish, humbug, longfin grouper and other marine life in their own home? We don't think so!

After a half day on the sparkling blue waters, the rest of the day is yours to relax or explore, it's your choice.

If you're not into tackling the scuba tank just yet, then the whole day is open for exploration or to just put your feet up.

Tonight's accommodation is a taste of Italy at Toscana Village Resort, perched 200m above Airlie Beach. Relax around one of Toscana's four peaceful pools as they cascade from level to level. There's always a quiet spot for a refreshment or simply to close your eyes for a minute or two and contemplate...

Day 8: A special ceremony perhaps?

Start the day with a hair makeover at Figurehead Salon with a cut and blow-dry. The team can give you a basic tidy up or a whole new style if you're up for a change.

Now you're looking the part, savour a delicious lunch for two from Sushi Whitsundays then the afternoon is yours to enjoy, unless of course, you're here with someone special and the afternoon could be the start of a whole new life chapter!

Why not turn your holiday into a honeymoon (first or second!) with a marriage or re-affirmation of vows ceremony. Marry Me Margaret can organise you the perfect spot and most appropriate ceremony. After all, could there be a more romantic location – and your hair is looking great for the occasion!

Whatever your day holds, your night will be spent back at Toscana, perhaps enjoying a celebratory drink on your balcony, overlooking the twinkling lights of Airlie Beach below.

Day 9: Away to a deserted island

It's back to the skies today with Aviation Adventures on a scenic flight, this time in a helicopter to give you an exhilarating birds-eye view over the beautiful Barrier Reef. You'll be whisked over the waters to a deserted island for a gourmet lunch or twilight picnic. Swim, snorkel or just toast the unspoilt beauty of your surroundings with the chilled champagne. Life can be hard to take sometimes...

When you've got your land legs back, ge them to take you to Shane Batham's 'Into the Blue' Art Gallery to collect your signed landscape of the Whitsundays. Shane's an internationally acclaimed photographer and his love for the environment that is his home shines through in every image.

Tonight book into your deluxe queen suite at Base Airlie Beach Resort and partake in a beverage or two compliments of Base Airlie Beach's bar vouchers. Raise a glass in celebration of another wonderful day in the Whitsundays.

Day 10: Cruising on Camira

Whitehaven Beach is one of the most stunning beaches in the world, stretching for seven kilometres. The sand is powder-fine, the warm water a clear turquoise and getting there with Cruise Whitsundays is a whole lot of fun too!

Camira is a sleek looking sailing catamaran with spacious decks and breathtaking performance. Combine swimming, snorkelling, beautiful beaches and bay, a superb BBQ lunch along with high speed sailing and you've got one of the most varied and exciting Whitsundays experiences on offer!

Day 11: Toast the coast and say farewell

Sadly it's time to say farewell to your tropical holiday from VisitVineyards.com and Roam Media. We hope you've enjoyed the range of wonderful experiences this part of Queensland has to offer, perhaps you'll even extend your stay to explore the rest!

As a farewell gift, Total Weddings will give you two celebratory champagne flutes. Raise a glass or two on your return home as you go over your photos and memories of the Whitsundays and the Great Barrier Reef.
