Smudge Publishing has carved a reputation for exceptional regional food and wine books and these two books are certainly worthy of that title. These all-embracing members of the "Flavours of" series showcase seven NSW regions and six in Victoria - all in glorious colour with stories, background information and those all important signature recipes.

These books really are treasure troves of regional Australia and we have two copies of each to be won!

From Mudgee in NSW to the Bellarine/Surf Coast in Victoria and all places in between, the produce and the people are celebrated and fantastic food finds are uncovered.

The images show people at hard at work in the kitchens and fields, tasting and digging, sipping and cleaning all showing concentration and smiles from the love of what they do.

The idiosyncrasies and atmosphere of place are captured in photographs and complete the picture of regional culinary life.

And then there's those signature recipes, to test before you visit or as a memory prompter post trip.

Neither of these books are designed to be carried in your backpack, unless that's all you're toting, but they are certainly books to both pore over and flick through, no doubt sparking a desire to get out and explore the regions of a little more deeply.  And with hotels and accommodations included, you'll be ready to wine and dine and stay!
