The Napoleone family at Punt Road Winery has been making super-premium Yarra Valley wines for over a decade and is highly regarded for making wines with elegance and finesse.
It's not surprising then that in 2008 they would use their same skills and philosophies to craft cider at their winery in Coldstream – after all, the Yarra Valley has been the Australian home of cider since the 1900's.
The cider production is much closer to that of sparkling wine (ie fermented) than it is to traditional cider making (brewed) and this method contributes to their clean, fresh, dry style.
Using only premium estate grown apples and pears and produced in regular small batches, their unique ciders represent the quality of the fruit and the winemaking background of the Napoleone and Co cidermakers.

The competition is open to all VisitVineyards.com subscribers and Members over the age of 18. Entries open 1st April 2012 and close midnight 31st May 2012. Winners drawn 4th June 2012 and their names posted on our winners page. Winners will be notified once by email if prizes remain unclaimed after three weeks.
