Ron Fitzpatrick's artistic journey began in the early '80s, creating handmade knives and Tai Chi Dancing swords. He then opened a shop in Leichhardt, and for the next ten years made hand-forged wrought iron furniture, ornate balustrades and commissioned pieces.
Since opening the Talisman Gallery in the idyllic Hartley Valley Blue Mountains his work has taken a different turn, reflecting his interest in meditation.
Since then, Ron has been concentrating on making objects which have great beauty, yet are still fun and practical. His work features regularly in Vogue, country Style, Belle, House and Garden.
His is well known for his handcrafted mirrors in unusual designs, oil burners, crystal wands, candlesticks plus iron tables and consoles or .beautiful sculptures forged from steel.
The Talisman Gallery now includes Cafe with a wood fired pizza oven open to the public from Thursday to Sunday 9am to 9pm and Holidays
