Each autumn as the grape harvesting season gives way to the olive picking, Broke Fordwich hold their annual festival of food, wine, olives, music, dancing and celebration of all things Italian. March/April 2012 is the time as the event spreads all around the Broke Fordwich area of the Hunter Valley and lasts for the whole weekend.
Collect your passport / event guide from the Passport Office by the Broke Fire Shed and wander around the village enjoying a slice of pizza, some homemade Italian Sausage or some delicious gelato while tasting wine made from Italian grape varieties grown in the famous Broke Fordwich wine region. Drop in for a game of bocce or browse at the market stalls.
Admission each day is free and there are also fantastic dinners on the Saturday night - plenty of stylish accommodation is available all around the area.
