The Hunter Valley Wine and Food Month Experience is a month-long celebration of Hunter Valley wines and fresh local produce.

The Fireside Series, will have guests cosying up by the fire for supreme indulgences while the Winemaker's Table Series will allow dining up close and personal with iconic Hunter winemakers and chefs. The Edible Experience will have guests creating their own magic in the kitchen and interacting with some of the best gastronomic names using delicious local produce.

The new Diverse Region Experience is perfect for the explorers amongst us who want to learn about the diverse areas within the Hunter Valley and what each unique region has to offer. And of course, no trip to the Hunter Valley would be complete without a visit to a local winery and sampling a few of the world-class wines from Australia's most historic family wine region.

This is only a taste of the many unique events that guests will be able to enjoy throughout the month... which will make staying for the weekend or longer in the Hunter Valley even more irresistible.

Highlights include:
*FlavourFest at Hunter Valley Gardens, a 3 day festival featuring Masterchef stars Callum Hann and Alvin Quah.

*Australian Regional Food Store and Cafe will offer a native flavours luncheon that will make you feel patriotic.

*McWilliam's Mount Pleasant Elizabeth Cafe White Wine and Red Wine Tasting Plates.

*Whispering Brook Olive Grove Long Lunch – delve into the world of olive oil over a long leisurely lunch.

*Hunter Valley Cheese Shop hosts cheese appreciation and wine matching classes perfect for 'the connoisseur'.

*Margan Restaurant shows you how to select from your own garden and then cook with those fresh delights.

*Join a Goldfish Hunter Valley Cocktail School and make wine based cocktails.

*McGuigan's Wine Dinner – held amongst the barrels in the winery with menu prepared by highly awarded Chef Jean-Marc Pollet paired to McGuigan's wines and hosted by Neil McGuigan and his team.

*First Creek Winemakers Challenge get a team together and spend the day learning the art of blending; finish the day joining the winemakers challenge with barrel rolling, wine spitting and grape stomping

*David Hook Wines Tutorials will assist you to understand different wine varieties and the advantages of aging a wine.
