Lone Pine Park is located opposite the Cowra Visitor Information Centre and features a tree propagated from the seed of the famous Lone Pine at Gallipoli, where Australia lost more than 2000 men.
At least two Australian soldiers pocketed cones and seeds from Lone Pine ridge that made their way back to Australia. From seed new trees were raised, and one was presented to the Australian War Memorial and is now known as Lone Pine Tree. The Cowra RSL Sub-branch received a tree that now features in Lone Pine Park.
