Kalari is a family owned, boutique vineyard located on the banks of the Lachlan River in Cowra, 300km west of Sydney, in New South Wales
.
The vineyard was established in 1995 with the planting of chardonnay, verdelho and shiraz grapevines, followed by cabernet sauvignon, merlot and semillon in 1997.
Kalari, the name adopted for our wine label and vineyard, was first used by the Wiradjuri who occupied the area before white settlement. It was their name for the Lachlan River.
