The best of Tyrrell's Hunter (NSW) wines are produced from these vineyards in the heart of the Lower Hunter Valley, near the winery. To discover 150 years of winemaking experience take a trip to the Tyrrell's Wines Hunter Valley winery.
Be greeted at the cellar door by Murray Flanagan who marks his 40th year with Tyrrell's in 2008. Murray is an icon, not only within Tyrrell's but in the Hunter Valley Wine district, and is as much a part of Tyrrell's, as is the wine.
Tyrrell's is also proud to share its heritage and rich tradition by taking guests on a journey beyond the Cellar Door. Winery tours operate 7 days a week at 1.30pm. For $5 you can experience the art of winemaking Tyrrell's style.
Explore the white and red winemaking facilities and storage areas as Murray Flanagan gives you an insight into the history of Tyrrell's and explains the winemaking techniques that make us so successful. The tour is not complete without a tasting of some of Tyrrell's finest wines, for which they are famous, including their Vat 1 Semillon.
