Located on Hermitage Road in the popular Lower Hunter Valley wine region of Pokolbin (NSW), IronBark Hill Vineyard was first planted in the late 1980s. IronBark Hill produces predominately Shiraz and Chardonnay and is expanding Semillon planting to meet market demand for the Hunter's flagship variety. Verdelho, Cabernet Sauvignon, Tyrian, and Merlot bring the annual production to a limited release of between 4000 to 5000 cases. With over 15 hectares under vine, IronBark Hill is a successful commercial vineyard but is still small enough for the personal touch.IronBark Hill Estate is owned by Peter Drayton and Michael Dillon. Peter's father, Max and his brothers, John, Trevor and Greg Drayton run Drayton's Family Wines.
