James Estate continues a tradition started some 30 years ago when vineyard and winery practices were commenced on the estate property. The vineyard is situated in the Upper Hunter Valley, 18km from Denman, a renowned quality vineyard area of New South Wales.
Surrounded by the Wollemi National Park, James Estate enjoys an enviable position with sweeping views of the Goulburn River from the spacious cellar door sales and tasting area. The property and winery cover 1560 acres with planting capacity for 850 acres.
If the Lower Hunter is the civilized, tourist centre of the region, the Upper Hunter is the frontier; a little less travelled and also a little wilder. Here wedge tailed eagles soar over the Hunter powerhouses of wine production from the estates on Bylong Valley Way.
You can also visit them at their Lower Hunter Valley cellar door outlet on Hermitage Road in Pokolbin.
