Waverley Estate was established in 1989 and is the only Aged Wine Specialist in the Hunter Valley. It is located in Pokolbin in the Lower Hunter Valley wine area of New South Wales.
When purchased the Estate had an existing vineyard dating back to 1971. With extra plantings over the ensuing years the vineyard has expanded and currently boasts 40 acres, with the varieties of Semillon, Chardonnay, Shiraz, and Cabernet Sauvignon.
Since 1989 the wines have been superbly crafted by winemaker Gary Reed, who has a deep passion for excellence. Combining and blending this passion with sound viticultural practices, he has continually produced distinguished Hunter wines made from grapes grown on the Estate.
