Wollombi Wines is a family owned and operated boutique vineyard, adjoining the historic village of Wollombi in the NSW Hunter Valley, gateway to Wine Country.
The vineyard is bordered by the beautiful Wollombi Brook, and is open seven days a week including public holidays for cellar door tastings. Why not visit the winery, enjoy a picnic and relax in beautiful surroundings.
Wollombi Wines produce a range of wines, including Semillon, Rose, Shiraz and Sparkling wines. The first vines were planted by the Hoft family in 1994. At harvest the fruit is selectively handpicked with one intent - the best possible quality.
The vineyard receives little or no watering (none since 2004) and so yields are low, usually around 2 tonnes per acre. No insecticides are used by Wollombi Wines.
Wollombi Wines also creates its own range of home-made produce including; Charcoal Chilli Shiraz Jam, Confit of Garlic in Shiraz Jus and Rosemary, Basil Pinenut Semillon Pesto, Fire Roasted Capsicum Relish, Shiraz Onion, Sticky Semillon Chilli Sauce, Shiraz Balsamic Reduction and Gourmet Rocky Road.
