The Zin House overlooks Lowe Wine’s Zinfandel vineyard and the Tinja farmlands of Mudgee, New South Wales. There’s an organic garden where much of the produce is grown, the balance coming from neighbours and other regional producers.

The Zin House specialises in weekend lunches, preferably long and leisurely ones. Owner and chef Kim Currie is designing the weekend lunch menus around seasonal produce from the farm and local producers, classic country food specialising in baking, charcuterie and slow cooking. Seating is at large farmhouse tables.

While the six course menu changes weekly, the structure will remain pretty much the same:

Course 1: bread - butter - oil - olives
Course 2: charcuterie - relish - salad
Course 3: pasta
Course 4: slow cooked meat - roast vegetables
Course 5: cheese
Course 6: dessert - coffee

The Zin House's location in the Lowe Wines Vineyard is reflected in the wine list. All the current release Lowe, Nullo Mountain and Tinja wines are available.

The museum wine room holds a wide range of back vintages available exclusively to The Zin House, including Lowe Reserve Shiraz and Zinfandels.

The best way to enjoy the Lowe/Zin House experience is simply to select the wine flight matched to the weekend’s menu.
