Just an enjoyable 15 minute drive south of Coffs Harbour brings you to the 'first' most easterly vineyard and winery in Australia. The winery is situated on the banks of the beautiful Bellinger River with spectacular views over the river towards the mountains.
This sub tropical vineyard was replanted from 2001 to 2005 with French hybrids that are fungal resistant. The red variety is Chambourcin of which there are other plantings in NSW and the white is Villard Blanc of which the Raleigh Vineyard and Winery is only one of two vineyards growing this variety Australia wide. The winery also has two ports (a red and white) and the famous Raleigh Brandy Cremes which are loosely based on Baileys Irish Cream only much better!
Cheese platters are available every day at a very reasonable cost.
Opening hours are 10am to 5pm Wednesday to Sunday. Seven days during the NSW school holidays. Closed Good Friday and Christmas Day.
