This game fishing tournament is organised by the Ulladulla Sport and Game Fish Club and takes place in the waters off Ulladulla.
The tournament is held on the anniversary of the late Jess Sam's Australian Record, a striped marlin (149.6 kilograms) caught off the coast of Ulladulla from the 1938 Nationwide Fishing Contest and part of Australian angling history. This national record catch still stands to this day.
The magnificent waters off Ulladulla bear some of the best specimens of marlin, tuna and sharks found on the coast.
