Four Winds is an intimate three-day fine music festival showcasing world-renowned Australian and international musicians, held over Easter every other year on NSW's Sapphire Coast. This award-winning festival turns 21 in 2012 – and will celebrate its new permanent Sound Shell with a weekend of unique musical experiences including five world premieres.
Artistic director Genevieve Lacey's program includes magnificent classical accordion virtuoso James Crabb; ACO2 - Australia's most talented young string players; the youthful voices of Gondwana Chorale; Band of Brothers on guitar and oud; Stephen Emmerson and Sonya Lifschitz re-imagining JS Bach's Goldberg Variations and premiering Damian Barbeler's Bright Birds; Nick Tsiavos and ensemble performing Liminal; plus a new work by John Rodgers performed by didgeridoo masters William Barton and Mark Atkins with a cello quartet.
