'Glenleigh' is a very special home - with an unusual Scottish farmhouse vernacular external architecture and an ornate, lavish interior. Many myths surround this house, including that the owner James Ewan brought painters from Italy to decorate the interior with friezes, stencils and ceiling murals. More research suggests that the painting, which has to be seen to be believed, was done by Sydney firm Lyons, Cottier
