Kirrily Waldhorn, The Beer Diva, is a girl who really knows her beer.
Kirrily believes passionately that beer truly deserves it's place back on the dining table, beer is not just for blokes and that more people should know about the exceptional quality and range of great beers available in Australia.
She sees herself as a unique and alternative voice for beer.
Having worked in the beer industry for the past 9 years where she started off at one of the big boys of brewers in Australia, Kirrily entrenched herself into learning more about beer and aspects of brewing, through a combination of hands on experience and study and is a graduate of the Brewing and Malting course at Ballarat University.
Kirrily is dedicated to bringing beer to modern dining through private, public and corporate events as well as working with the fabulous array of great Australian restaurants, providing their customers with the best range of beers to suit their menu. She leads beer tastings, staff training and seminars and is looking to hone in on innovative chefs who “get” the beer & food concept.
Match it and love it
Just like wine, you'll find that you can match beers and foods to create tantalizing harmonies of flavours, aromas and textures. So what style of beer goes best with which type of food? The combinations are endless, here are just a few… an Australian style Pale Ale would perfectly complement a scampi salad appetizer and a hoppy Czech Pilsener would round out a main course of spicy Moroccan marinated lamb and couscous.
