Brunton Road Wines was etablished when Richard and Kirsten Searle returned from overseas to live on the family vineyard. Along with Richard’s parents, Philip and Margot they have grown grapes for more than a decade and wanted to produce a range of wines, highlightling Gisborne (in New Zealnd's North Island) as a region of quality and diversity.
From the very first plantings, emphasis has been placed on viticultural excellence as the starting point for producing these wines, which reflect the flavoursome and elegant characteristics of the Gisborne fruit. With 35 hectares of vineyard situated in the Patutahi Plateau and Riverpoint regions, the warm climate and deep soils offer the texture and complexity showcased in their selection of fine wines.
