The Darwin International Airport has many facilities available including meals, snacks and refreshments at Aromas Café, Red Rooster and Fannie Bay Ale House on the first floor, Velluto's Cafe on the ground floor.
International travellers can do their duty free and sales tax free shopping at the duty free shop in the International Departure Lounge.
Pay phones are located throughout the terminal and require either a telephone card or Australian coins (10, 20, 50 cent and AUD1.00) coins to activate.
A taxi rank is located outside the terminal and a shuttle bus service operates between the airport and major accommodation houses in Darwin. Car rentals are located near the baggage reclaim on the ground floor.
Foreign exchange facilities are available through the Travelex outlet on the ground floor and are open to meet all flights.
As a general rule, you must declare all goods of a human, plant or animal origin. Custom Officers carry out random searches and there are heavy penalties for concealing goods or making false declarations.
Free of charge baggage trolleys are available throughout the terminal building.
