It's time to head to Kakadu National Park for some serious bird spotting at the inaugural Kakadu Bird Week. The program and guides are designed to cater to both experienced and beginner birdwatchers.
For the keenest birders, there will be long treks in the sandstone country to search for White-throated grasswrens and other endemic birds. For the beginners, there will be small interactive groups helping to identify different bird species.
Birds Australia, is working with the bird week organisers to ensure a high standard of birdwatching opportunities, led where possible by guides trained and/or endorsed by Birds Australia's Kakadu Birding Project.
