Brisbane Smallgoods Company was founded by Paul and Julie Purcell in 1980 at the rear of their retail butcher shop at Northgate in Brisbane, Queensland. Over the years the company grew and relocated to a much larger and state of the art factory at Virginia and in 2003 was supplying product to major Hotels, Restaurants, Resorts and Large Distributors.
In August of 2003 the Company was sold to concentrate on fresh meat.
Paul and Julie's son Adam who's a qualified butcher and has a full HACCP certification has learnt from highly skilled Master Butchers over the past 5 years. Adam wanted the chance to reopen the Company, so the Family purchased the company in May 2004.
The business was then renamed Snag Pty Ltd, trading as Brisbane Smallgoods Company and Mr Snag Pty Ltd. Large Premises at 46 Pritchard Road Virginia is one stop shop.
Catering to Retail, Wholesale and Food service, not only just meat we have a variety of fruit and vegetables, seafood bakery lines and game meat and we even have our own snack bar.
