Cedar Creek Estate Vineyard is located on Mount Tamborine, Gold Coast, Queensland and from the moment you enter the driveway you will appreciate that this is one of the Gold Coast Hinterland's most charming wineries. Bring your camera and take in the wonderful scenery, as well as enjoying the taste of some of Queenslands finest wines.
The vineyard consists of three varieties including Chambourcin, Villard Blanc and Verdelho, even though relatively young vines their Chambourcin in particular is producing a fabulous Rose. Their other varieties of wines and grapes are sourced from some of Queenslands top vineyards, which provides the winemaker with a wonderful resource when developing the Cedar Creek wines.
The winery also has a restaurant which adjoins the Gazebo and Deck overlooking Wild Duck Lake. The Lake is a 15 megalitre sanctuary for the native wildlife in the area. The reaches of Cedar Creek which flows through the property are also home to a number of Platypus. The property is quickly developing into a popular tourist attraction with the addition of the Prime Ministers Way, which is a short stroll through rainforest which leads to the Glow Worm Caves. The caves consist of two main cave structures linked by a tunnel with one cave dubbed the Cathedral Cave. Bookings have already been placed for wedding ceremonies in this unique setting.
Cedar Creek Estate Vineyard and winery is opening from 10am to 4pm 7 days a week with the exception of being closed on Christmas Day and Good Friday.
Cedar Creek Estate is also home to the Queensland Wine Centre. The modern facility has been designed to cater for wine tasting for more than 80 people on any one occasion. The centre features the largest range of Queensland’s wine under one roof with an impressive display of up to 90 wines from 14 of Queensland’s Premier Wineries.
