Feijoa Fruit (pronounced Fee – Joe – Ah) is growing rapidly in demand throughout the world for its delicious, healthy qualities and versatility. It has been inevitable that the Industry would spread to Australia, which has ideal growing conditions in many parts of the country.The Centre of the Feijoa Industry in Australia is at Lower Wonga, near Gympie in North Burnett, Queensland, where the Casey Family have established the first commercial Feijoa Plantation, with the first crop having been harvested for 2005 and the current crop ready for harvest March-June 2006.
