Hundreds of artists have been involved in Pepper Street Art Centre over the past 16 years and during the Sweet 16 Exhibition the Centre is celebrating the contribution of many significant artists.
Those exhibiting in Sweet Sixteen are a collection of artists who are part of the fabric of the Centre in a number of different ways. Whether it is long standing artists from the 'early days' of Pepper Street who are still creating today, or artists for whom Pepper Street is playing a key part in their creative journey. They are representative of the quality of life that artists and their work bring to our community in Burnside.
Many mediums are represented including Painting, Drawing, Ceramics, Printmaking, Textiles, Sculpture and Woodwork.
A fascinating retrospective slide show of highlights of the past 'Sweet 16' years will also be on display during this exhibition. Projected images of past exhibitions, artists, artwork, events, activities, volunteers and more will highlight the breadth and growth of Pepper Street's contribution to arts activity in Burnside.
