The global rallying spotlight will be on the Barossa when the Sprint Auto Parts Rally SA hits top gear.
The high speed action kicks off on Friday night with the Coates Super Special Stage at Angaston Oval on Friday and Saturday nights.
Australia's best rally drivers will tackle a tight course, reaching speeds up to to 140 kilometres per hour, while spectators can emulate their rally heroes in the Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution Rally Simulators.
The event will continue across the weekend on closed-road stages across the Barossa, Adelaide Hills and Mount Crawford Forest.
The nation's most popular round of the Australian Rally Championship has attracted a strong field of 56 competitors including defending champs Neal Bates and Coral Taylor in their Toyota Corolla S2000.
