Worldview: Christmas 2009. Five regional artists explore their realities across painting, sculpture and collage. Join us as they explore the traditional subject matters of landscape and still life in a modern manner. Jacqui Coates, well known for her amazing large scale roses brings us her sensational impastos depicting roses and peonies. James de Blas, fresh from shows in the US and Europe, exhibits a rather particular take on still life. Charlie Pedler, new to the Barossa, delights in the Moculta hills and valleys in her gorgeous washed oils. Ilona Glastonbury, fast becoming a mainstay in the Barossa art scene, brings new pressed tin collages to this light-filled gallery. Finally Mark Pearse presents his gorgeous terracotta wombats and chooks in a unique take on garden sculpture.
