Mintaro, is a tiny settlement of a mere 90 people, virtually unchanged architecturally for a century and still a rural community centre. On the edge of the town common is Mintaro Mews a State Heritage listed building.
The main building was constructed as a grain store from slate mined near Mintaro. Behind the old grain store is the original blacksmith shop, later becoming stables and now part of the accommodation of the Mews.
It has an intimate atmosphere with bedrooms located either on the ground floor or in upstairs suites. Stable Rooms are motel style, all with private facilities. Licensed 24 hours.
Mintaro Mews has a warmth and charm that is impossible to resist. Once you have experienced the tranquility of the countryside, the wines of the Clare Valley and the hospitality of Mintaro and the Mews, you will be back time after time.
