The Bartagunyah Cellar Door is 5 kilometres from Melrose in the Southern Flinders Ranges wine region of South Australia. Visitors can experience the unique setting while sampling the superb wines made by O'Leary Walker and Charles Melton, including Shiraz, Shiraz Cabernet Sauvignon, Chardonnay Viognier and Vintage Shiraz.
The Bartagunyah Estate vineyard was first established in 1997 and the resulting wines have quickly become renowned for their quality.
Bartagunyah enjoys a Mediterranean climate, 400m above sea-level with an average annual rainfall of 600mm. The grapes are grown with minimal irrigation giving a low crop density, producing around 4.5 tonnes/hectare.
Bartagunyah's uniquely elevated growing environment produces high quality fruit and wine, having a distinctively rich intense flavour with a rounded palate. The red wines are made exclusively from the grapes grown on the property.
