The Kitchen Door at Penny's Hill and Mr. Riggs Cellars is located in the renowned South Australian wine region of McLaren Vale.
The acclaimed restaurant at the Penny's Hill and Mr. Riggs Cellars, 'The Kitchen Door', embraces the honest simplicity of local and seasonal produce, while maintaining a creative edge.
Head Chef Ben Sommariva and his dedicated team are sharing their unbridled passion for seasonal and regional food, enthusiasm for our wines and attention to personalised service with a growing number of very satisfied visitors, many of whom enjoy the surprises of an ever changing five-course, wine matched, degustation style menu. After only four years in action, the team at The Kitchen Door was awarded the national Restaurant and Catering Awards title of "Best Restaurant in a Winery" in 2007.
An abundance of functions are held on the property, ranging from candlelit dinners to well orchestrated weddings, conferences, training activities and more. Contact us with your requests, and we will be happy to accommodate.
Lunch is available seven days a week. Booking, certainly for weekends, is advisable.
If you want to extend your food-wine experience longer at 'Ingleburne' why not stay the night, or two, in the 1850s two storey, Georgian style homestead. The homestead sleeps up to eight people, but smaller groups are most welcome.
