K1 by Geoff Hardy in the southern Adelaide Hills is renowned as one of the most picturesque cellar doors in Australia and is home to an ultra-premium, cool climate vineyard. Geoff, one of Australia's leading viticulturalists, has drawn on five generations of viticultural experience to develop his techniques for producing outstanding wines – acknowledged by leading wine industry journalist James Halliday who awards K1 five red stars.
The stone walled entry to the K1 vineyard leads to a magnificent Plane Tree avenue, winding around the lake to the Cellar Door. After tasting some of K1's award winning wines at a 400 year old tasting table, guests are invited to relax on the decking, perched over the lake to indulge in platters of local produce, all sourced from within 100 kilometre of the vineyard.
