The Clancy Fuller Winery and Vineyards are variously at located at Jacobs Creek and Bethany, nestled in the Barossa and Eden Valley wine regions of South Australia.
Clancy Fuller's vineyards were first established by two pioneering families - the Nitschkes at Jacob's Creek and the Hueppauffs at Bethany - who had arrived from Silesia (now Poland) in the 1840s.
The Fuller vineyard alongside Bethany Creek is more than 120 years old. Planted on deep alluvial soils the vineyard is dry grown and its deep roots produce concentrated Shiraz with a distinctive Barossa chocolatey nose.
This marries well with the Grenache and Shiraz sourced from the Clancy vineyard adjacent to Jacob's Creek. The red schist soils produce fruit with a distinctively perfumed, elegant profile.
The Barossa has dozens of these sub-regional variations (terrior), so when Peter Fuller and Paul Clancy formed Clancy Fuller the philosophy was to sustain the unique vineyard flavours.
Tastings are by appointment at 28 Murray Street, Tanunda. Please call 08 8563 3668 to ensure Peter or Paul are available to meet you.
