David Franz Wines are located at Tanundah, in the iconic Barossa Valley of South Eastern Australia.
Talent, passion are certainly the trademarks of David Franz and these qualities translate into the wines he makes. Son of Barossa wine legends Peter and Margaret Lehmann, he named his brand David Franz to avoid any confusion with the winery that bear his dad's name.
David Franz' wine blends include the Cabernet, Shiraz, Grenache, Mataro, Rose varieties, with a delicate Eden Valley Reisling (11.1% alcohol) and a sparkling cabernet made in a cremant (low pressure) style to complete the range of wonderful blends. For port lovers David Franz' Old Tawny Port is worthy of note also.
