Kimbolton Wines is a family owned business established in 1998 by the Case family in Langhorne Creek. Len and Judy Case produced a tonne of shiraz from this great vinetage into wine for Len to enjoy (with his friends). It turned out to be a great drop, and the label Kimbolton was born.
The orginal vineyard (known as Kimbolton) on the alluvial fllodplain was five hectares and the oldest plantings are 42 years old. Some of the Kimbolton Shiraz is picked from these vines. Today the Kimbolton vineyard has grown to 21 ha comprising of Shiraz (8ha), Cabernet Sauvignon (8ha) Chardonnay(4.ha) Zinfandel and Montepulciano (1ha)
If you visit their cellar door you will be rewarded with a very unique experience. Not only do you get to sample the range of Kimbolton wines, but you will also have the opportunity to sample three other wine labels all under the same roof. Kimboltob is currently sharing cellar door facilities with Ben Potts wines, Gipsie Jack and John's Blend.
