McLeans Farm Winery and Barr-Eden Vineyard (and Farmgate) are located at Tanunda, in the Barossa Valley of South East Australia.
At 477 to 500 metres above sea level, the vineyard, Barr-Eden is one of the highest properties in the Barossa Valley.
Bob McLean's 30 year career in wine (Orlando, Petaluma, St Hallett) has been exciting and varied. He states confidently 'that life without wine would not be.'
After some decades of building wineries, creating brands and styles and establishing Australian wine in the international market place, he went "home to our own land on top of Mengler's Hill above the Barossa and start from the beginning…again. "
