Penna Lane Wines is located in Clare, in the Polish Hill River wine region of the Clare Valley, in South Australia's Mount Lofty Ranges.
The Penna Lane vineyard is located 10 kilometres south of Clare in the Skilly Hills, adjacent to the Spring Gully Conservation Park.
The vineyard is planted at an elevation of approximately 450 metres which provides for a long slow ripening period, which results in intense varietal fruit flavours.
The vines are virtually dry-grown, receiving only supplementary irrigation in the dry years.
Plantings in the Penna Lane vineyard consist of Cabernet Sauvignon, Shiraz and Semillon.
Trellising consists of a single fruiting wire and moveable foliage wires which enable us to vertically position the shoots for better bunch exposure ensuring maximum ripeness thereby ensuring greater grape flavours.
